In a rectangular glass baking dish, place the following
1 bag shredded hashbrown potatoes
1/2 8oz container sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/4 can milk
1/4 loaf Velveeta or the cheaper stuff- diced
Chopped onion and green peppers (I buy the already diced bags of frozen vegetables
and add to my taste preference (which is about 1/2 cup of each) and mix well.
Options: If you want to, add 1 of the options below, making it a complete meal.
Or you can omit this part and use as a side dish.
1/2 to 1 full cup of chopped or shredded chicken
1/2 to 1 full cup cubed ham or turkey breast (or use deli ham cut into 1" x 1/2" strips)
1 cup browned crumbled ground beef or turkey
1 lg can tuna, drained
One vac pak pepperoni cut into fourths
Mix in the options until everything is well blended. Top with fine shredded cheese of your choice and sprinkle with paprika.
Cover with foil and bake @ 450 until bubbly hot (about 20-25 min).
Uncover and allow to brown. Remove from oven and let stand at least 5 minutes.
